Connections roll deep within my community. Every couple I have had the honor of working with has left a deep appreciation in my heart. Ivana + Drew’s wedding hasn’t been the exception. I photographed Drew’s sister's wedding a few years ago so when Drew + Ivana reached out, it was definitely a no-brainer to capture their big day.
These love birds decided to have a little variety for their wedding day. Right after their ceremony, we headed to The Red Mill in Clinton, NJ for their couple portraits. I loved the different settings they decided to go with. Every location and pictures captured reflected their love and strong bond. You could feel their inevitable love towards each other. Their classy, boho but modern style radiated throughout the day.
When it comes to the reception, the detail behind everything was priceless. The reception was hosted at Ivana’s home backyard. It was perfectly styled and she told me she worked so hard to have it wedding ready and it truly showed; it was such a perfect getting ready space. When taking the getting ready photos, the details were so perfect. Starting with the flowers, they were literally to die for. Ivana went for blush, white neutrals with a tad of greens. Her dress was a heart shaped, lace wedding gown with beautiful trim. Her bridesmaids wore a combination of terracotta with pinky blush colored dresses. The groom and groomsmen wore traditional black and white groomsmen suits with fancy leather suspenders. The backyard wedding decor was on point. Given their classy, boho style, the backyard was filled with white table tops, lots of greenery, wedding table decor and hanging lights on the ceiling. The simplicity made everything even more gorgeous. And honestly everyone present at the backyard reception was definitely embracing the vibe.
Ivana + Drew wrapped up the night with some drinks, dance floors moves and afterparty newly wed portraits. The intentionality in every move they made was a true reflection of themselves and their family and friends. And that’s where I truly connect on a deeper level with my wonderful couples.
