Brittany + Doug’s Pocono Mountains Engagement Session | Elle Studios

It’s not the first time I talk about my love for the outdoors and adventure but this time around it’s hitting a little different. Being in an environment that fuels my creativity produces my best work and I connect with my couples on a whole other level. That’s what happened with Brittany + Doug’s mountain top session. These two were the most easy going and lighthearted, making out time together even more meaningful. It’s safe to say that this couple and the location we went with were the perfect combination.

The location Brittany + Doug chose is a special gem for me. Shooting at the Poconos State Park was a blast even though it was freezing cold. I admire my couples so much; they are always down to have a wonderful time despite weather inclemencies and that’s when we get the most of the session. Brittany + Doug were nothing short of that; they were real troopers. A big plus was the natural light we enjoyed and the gorgeous sunset. These images speak for themselves; having these elements come into play was the cherry on top that made the cold less tangible. Regardless of the temperature, you could feel the warmth that their bond radiated. Their casual but romantic connection is definitely felt in person and through the images documented. 

Capturing this beautiful couples’ love reminded me once again why I do what I do. Being there to story tell my couples’ journey in a way that feels aligned is the goal every single time. I always encourage to do what feels right in way that feels aligned and Brittany + Doug embraced this in a beautiful way. The mountains called and we were there, soaking in the views and capturing all the emotions along the way.
